Developed in unincorporated Denton County, Texas, Lantana is unique in that it is a Fresh Water         
District. Several Districts make up Lantana.

First there is Denton County Development District 4.
District 4 covers all of Lantana. This District is empowered to receive sales tax. The Board of               
Directors are appointed by the County Commisioner's Court. The revenues are used for Tourism         
in Denton County.

Fresh Water District 6 covers most of Lantana. It is mostly built out. It is currently the only                 
District with all Residents on the Board of Directors.   The Board of Directors are elected by                
residents of District 6 only.    

Fresh Water District 7 makes up most of the commercial property and the last of the residential           
properties in Lantana. The Board of Directors are elected by residents of District 7 only.

Lantana also has a Home Owners Association and may be viewed at www.LantanaLive.com. With
it's focus on the residents, local issues and concerns are discussed in the chat room for residents            
only.
